The town of Celebration caters to every imaginable whim, whether you seek traditional afternoon tea, wine tastings, art galleries or carriage rides. The Dr. Phillips name has been a major presence in the central Florida community since the turn of the 20th century. The area of Dr. Phillips is named after Dr. Phillip Phillips, a Central Florida citrus magnate. He was responsible for several key innovations in the processing and packaging of orange juice. He owned thousands of acres of groves, stretching across nine Central Florida counties and extending from Conroy Road on the north to the south end of the Sand Lake Chain, encompassing all of what is now Bay Hill, Orange Tree, Sand Lake Hills and Turkey Lake.
Hunter's Creek is a 4,000-acre planned community in southwest Orange County. Comprised of 35 single-family neighborhoods, Hunter's Creek enjoys top-ranked schools. In addition, they host many happenings annually for the whole family including events for July 4th and Halloween. Special camps are also held to coincide with school holidays, including a summer camp which has grown into a big success. Hunter's Creek is conveniently located with regard to shopping, dining, recreation, theme parks, industry and the airport. Everything you need is right here in Hunter's Creek. There are social groups and clubs, such as the Hunter's Creek Women's Association and the Fabulous 50s (seniors group). Ocoee is one of the fastest growing of the 13 cities in Orange County Florida area. Ocoee is located 15 miles west of downtown Orlando near the shores of Lake Apopka - Florida’s 2nd largest lake. Recent road improvements have improved access to this bedroom community of some 21,000 residents and has attracted a great deal of new development, both residential and commercial. While growth has changed the outward appearance of the city, the spirit of its residents and the reasons for their decision to make Ocoee their home has not. The community’s small-town flavor and friendly atmosphere can be seen in residents who attend local craft fairs, annual Founders Day celebrations, youth sports and social events. While the city’s early settlers were attracted because of the beautiful setting, lakefront scenery and suitability for industry, today's residents and business owners can enjoy that the city is a shining example of the notion that growth and history can be successfully blended. The real estate market is comprised mainly of single-family homes with a diverse range of styles, but condominiums and townhouses are also available. Orlando is one of the world's top tourist destinations. Downtown Winter Garden offers a slice of small town life with redeveloped stores, restaurants and businesses reflecting the charm of old Florida. The community celebrates their history and charm with an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social (held in picturesque Newton Park on Lake Apopka) and 4th of July Celebration. Once renowned for its vast citrus industries, Winter Garden is beginning to attract other businesses, including computer and investment companies.
Winter Park was a favorite resort destination of wealthy New England Industrialists over 100 years ago and was the first centrally planned community in Florida. Downtown Winter Park features art galleries, a private liberal arts college, museums, a park, a train station, a golf course, country club, a historic cemetery, and a beach and boat launch. Winter Park is home to Rollins College, Full Sail Real World Education and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, which houses the largest collection of Tiffany glass on Earth.
About 15 miles north of Orlando is the charming community of Winter Springs. One of the younger cities in Seminole County, Winter Springs has a history of strong population growth, as home seekers appreciate its quiet but convenient location just northeast of Orlando. The real estate market in Winter Springs consists of single-family detached homes, villas, condominiums and townhouses. Winter Springs residents have an average commute time of less than 30 minutes to downtown Orlando.
